지민의 '후' 외에도 '비 마인'(Be Mine)이 5위를 차지했으며, 진의 '러닝 와일드'(Running Wild), '아일 비 데어'(I'll Be There), 뷔의 '윈터 어헤드'(Winter Ahead) 등 총 10곡이 포함되어 30곡 중 3분의 1을 차지했다.
그룹 스트레이 키즈는 '칙칙붐'(Chk Chk Boom)이 4위를 기록했으며, '아이 라이크 잇'(I Like It), '컴 플레이'(Come Play), '쨈'(JJAM) 등 총 4곡이 리스트에 포함되며 상승세를 이어갔다.
BTS and BLACKPINK Dominate Global K-Pop Streaming Charts
Spotify's Global Impact List reveals K-Pop's international influence.
BTS members claim a third of the top spots, highlighting their continued global dominance.
In a testament to the enduring appeal of K-Pop, BTS and BLACKPINK have once again proven their global dominance, with Spotify unveiling its "Global Impact List" for the second half of last year. This list, which highlights the top 30 most-streamed Korean songs outside of Korea, showcases the remarkable reach and influence of K-Pop across the globe.
Leading the charge is BTS's Jimin, whose title track "Who" from his second solo album secured the number one position on the list. Following closely behind is BLACKPINK's Rosé with her hit "APT." These tracks have resonated with international audiences, underlining the powerful allure of K-Pop music and its artists.
According to Spotify, Jimin's success is not an isolated phenomenon. His track "Be Mine" also made a strong showing, ranking fifth on the list. The pervasive presence of BTS is further demonstrated with members Jin and V also featuring prominently. Jin's tracks "Running Wild," "I'll Be There," and "Super Tuna," alongside V's "Winter Ahead" and "White Christmas," contribute to BTS's impressive tally of ten songs in the top 30. This means that BTS alone accounts for a third of the entire list, highlighting their overwhelming popularity and the loyalty of their global fanbase.
BLACKPINK's Rosé also shines brightly, placing three songs on the list. In addition to "APT.," her tracks "number one girl" and "toxic till the end" have captured the hearts of listeners worldwide, reinforcing BLACKPINK's status as global music icons.
Other notable entries include Stray Kids, who have four songs in the top 30, and rookie groups like BABYMONSTER and Miyaou, who are making waves with their breakout hits. BABYMONSTER's "FOREVER" and "DRIP" have garnered significant attention, while Miyaou's "MEOW" rounds out the list at the 30th position.
The presence of these artists on Spotify's Global Impact List underscores the international influence of K-Pop. Park Jung-joo, Head of Spotify Korea Music Team, remarked, "The Global Impact List is an important indicator showing the strong global influence of Korean music. We were able to confirm the outstanding achievements of rookie groups such as BABYMONSTER and Miyaou, along with global stars like BTS."
The list not only celebrates the established stars of the genre but also highlights the potential of emerging artists, signaling a bright future for K-Pop on the world stage. As the genre continues to captivate audiences worldwide, the influence of K-Pop shows no signs of waning, promising more groundbreaking music and performances in the years to come.
